Prominent BJP leaders supported the nomination
While filling the nomination papers, five senior leaders including CM Bhajanlal Sharma, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, former state president Arun Chaturvedi, city district president Amit Goyal supported Madan Rathod’s name as proposer. The nomination process was completed by 4:30 pm, after which the nomination papers were scrutinized.
Election process and official announcement
State president election in-charge and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that the nomination deadline has ended and we have received five nomination forms, in which only one name – Madan Rathod – is registered. The official announcement will be made on Saturday at 11 am.
National Council elections will also be held
State in-charge Radhamohan Das Agarwal was appointed as the central observer for the state president election. Along with this, 25 national council members will also be elected from the state, who will participate in the election process of the national president.
